Philippines Tagaytay

Bag of Beans and Jakoy

I’ve been going to Tagaytay for two weekends in a row this year. The last one was a day trip for that Taal trek, which I talked about here and here. The week before that was to celebrate two occasions — a birthday and a wedding proposal. Lots of Tagaytay discoveries in that trip too, but I ran out of camera battery before the sun went down.

Oh well.

This is Marianne and Jackie, the birthday girl.

Anyway, I’m sure you’ve heard about this place — I’ve been reading a lot of good reviews about it. It’s not so new, but for me, it’s a new discovery nonetheless and I’m quite satisfied. We ate at Bag of Beans for late lunch that Saturday.

By the size of the place and the space allotted for car parking, you could already tell that business is good.

It has a cozy, garden-y feel to it. Pretty place, methinks. I’d come back.

I’m not a coffee drinker so I won’t comment on this one (not helpful, I know).

We ordered breakfast food — you can never go wrong with that. That was yummeh! Here, let me add some color to this post.

Golly, I could almost smell the food. Although I need a bit more practice on food-photo skills. Let’s just go back to smiling faces then.

We sat outside at first, so when it started to drizzle we had to move to another table.

And here is our favorite Koreanovela couple.

Some sweetness to end the day. 🙂

Bag of Beans Coffee Shop and Bakery is located at Mendez crossing West, Tagaytay City, Philippines. Visit for more info. The photos there really look like the real thing!
