One of the things I was able to try for the first time in Vigan — making a pot!
As part of our one-day tour around Vigan and Laoag, we went to GR Jars Pottery.
One potter can make over 200 of these a day. This is a fountain made of clay. There are a lot of this in GR Jars. The different shapes of jars and pots.So now, it’s my turn to shine. It starts with just this dump of clay. This is the pottery wheel. You’re supposed to sit on that cozy car seat right there.
Alright, let’s go!
The end products. You don’t need to pay to try this, but don’t forget to give kuya a tip! You can even put your name on it and come back later on in the day when it’s dry to take it home.
Thank you and goodbye Mr. Carabao Potter!
GR Jars Pottery is located in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
